Book At Bedtime

Robert Edison Fulton, Jr. came from a family of illustrious inventors.
In 1922 he rode a Douglas twin 25,000 miles from London to Tokyo.
His book, One Man Caravan, tells the story.
Note the cool jacket with the sheepskin sleeves.

Tsunami III

In Bondi Tsunami some Japanese surfers go on a surf/road trip round Australia in an old Holden. Good songs on the soundtrack too - one in particular by a band called 'The Lost Highways' that plays over the opening sequence, and which I would dearly like to have but can't find anywhere.

Tsunami II

Spent two hours out in the ocean, but no sign of the Great Wave. There was an odd sort of peaky 2-3ft groundswell though, and it was clean with little wind. Quite a few people out, and on the beach too, despite the warnings to stay away.

Tsunami I

People on Australia's East Coast are being asked to stay away from beaches this morning after warnings of a possible tsunami following the magnitude 8.8 earthquake which struck off the coast of Chile.
New South Wales could be hit after 8.45am today.
I'm waxing up my board.......

Girl On A Motorcycle

Think the bike is a Triumph, but don't recognise the tank badge.

Broken McTavish

I have a McTavish. It takes alot to snap one as they are very well made. Witnessed a guy break the above in two on a 3ft shore dump. He was pissed off to say the least, and left one half impaled on a road sign.

Button

1956 Triumph T110. Indian Scout.

Motorcycle Blues

The title of the blog - Motorcycle Blues. Comes from an old blues song by Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry, and can be heard on the album 'At The 2nd Fret'.
